The trench came in good time. It does "look" as it is pictured; it is unique and has bold colors, and I really wanted to like it, but a trench has to be more than just stylish. It needs to be comfortable, and it needs to look good but wear well, too.
I was not sure what another reviewer meant when she stated the arms were too low. When I buttoned and tied it and slightly lifted my arms to adjust the mirror, I felt what she meant. The sleeves on this trench feel like they were made for a poncho. Ponchos hang low and are not meant to be tied or buttoned. Trench coats are made to be buttoned and tied. The openings for the arms were too low, so when I lifted my arms, like I am sure I'd have to do for many purposes, the jacket looked and felt awkward. It bunched up in the wrong places, and in my opinion feels irregular if you are doing anything other than standing still and posing for a picture. For the record, I ordered an XXL. I wear a size 14-16. I have two other trench coats in XXL which work perfectly, especially considering one might choose to wear a sweater or other thick clothes underneath.
I am a huge D'iyanu fan, but I am also someone who relies heavily on honest reviews. This is an expensive trench, which I feel, was not made with careful attention to detail like other D'iyanu products. This one disappointed me.
