Transitional Wrap Dress
I couldn't wait to receive this dress. As usual, it was shipped right away and was exactly as pictured online. The colors are fantastic and I received many compliments. To the office: I wore this to the office so I did need to wear a sweater because the neck was wider than anticipated -- there's lots of neck/shoulder exposure. In addition, I had to use a pin to close up the top of the dress due to the low cut (there is a button that closes the top of the dress but I needed to be a bit more conservative in my environment so I opted for the safety pin). Also, you will need to be aware of the slit in the front because when seated you will be showing all of your cake. You will need to be covered. Outside of office: When I wore it outside of the office I definitely felt comfy w/out the pin and the sweater. Depending on where I was sitting I definitely needed to make sure I had something to cover up my lap because where the wrap closes it exposes you. I felt like I had to pull it down every time I stood up to make sure it placed right on my body. It's a great pattern and I felt sexy wearing it. It's a plus having pockets; I will get some use out of it for sure -- tights and boots w/a sweater!!
Bisi African Print Pleated Sleeve Wrap Dress
I have not worn it yet, but it is beautiful.
This dress is pretty but: 1– the wrap doesn’t quite work well so there is odd bunching and odd pooofing in all the wrong places (waist, hips, butt) 2- the pockets are WEIRD! They stick out and I’ll have to sew the outer flap on them back a bit 3- the opening in the front makes it Really Really short when seated. You have to wear something underneath if you don’t want your hoo-ha out for a little fresh air ... All in all I’m going to figure out work arounds because the fabric is so pretty.
Looks great on me!
I am sure that I will a lot of great wear out of this beautiful piece. Love the pockets!
I thought about returning it because the arms are too puffy for me and the torso is not as flattering. I adjusted the arms with a stitch or two. I still think the fabric is beautiful and this is my first African dress that I would wear out without feeling too self conscious. I love it-ish
